So long 2023! It's been real!
The beginning of this year was a doozie! More rain than we have seen in ages. A Huge sink hole on the main Hwy into Half Moon Bay, Shutting down the west bound lane...it's still shut down. The sink hole happened January 12.
We spent a nice two weeks in Kapaa. A lot of rain there too. No matter what, it is always so wonderful to be there.
I finished a lot of quilts and really started pushing myself on custom quilting. I donated a few to the Maui Relief Fund and to our local guild. I quilted quite a few for my sister and have quite a few more to go....plus my own! I have a list....It's really long!
I was invited twice to a Ranch in the Eastern Sierra's. July and October. Both times were beyond amazing! We rode multiple times per day. I absolutely loved every breathing second.
You just can't tell by the smile on my face!
Spent a lovely time with our "nephew" Alex and his witty better half Elizabeth who were down from Alaska to vacation. They spent a few days with us and then were to head down to SoCal to catch their Mexican Riviera cruise...to be notified 36 hours before they were to depart - that the cruise was cancelled. We played tourist with them and toured Alcatraz and did the behind the scenes tour which kind of helped preoccupy some time. They were able to find and book a different cruise leaving a day later. WHEW!!!
Overall, it was a busy year!
Looking forward to 2024!
